It's sooo green this time of year, it's beautiful. The weather is a little more unstable but is usually warm enough for wearing a t-shirt, chilling by the pool, outdoor activities and even beach chilling. The ocean is definitely cold in this month. Swimming in the ocean is let's say.. very refreshing! 😉 Although day time can be beach weather, April is still quite mild. So make sure to pack for different kinds of weather. Bring a bikini but also a jumper and maybe a light jacket! Evenings and mornings can be a little chilly. Look for sheltered beaches like Praia dos Treês Irmãos for the best beach days!

The landscape remains green and the weather is at (in my opinion) its best. Not too hot, but definitely beach weather! Still not too many tourist around but a nice balance of people wandering in the towns, visiting bars and restaurants and having some coziness around!

A lovely time to visit. Still not too many tourists around and absolutely lovely weather! Perfect if you are a sun lover and enjoy spending days at the beach! Daytime can be quite warm and evenings are perfect for eating out and enjoying you drink outside on the terrace under the palmtrees.

September
High season has ended and the weather is still amazing. Usually not super intens hot temperatures like in august, but still nice and warm. It's still beach weather in September for sure and the water temperature is at its best as the long warm summer has heated the water up to 20 degrees! 😉 The flowering bougainvillea is absolutely gorgeous at this time of year.

October
I love escaping cold north-western European weather in October! As soon as the dark fall days start coming up, I'm out of there! October is a lovely month to travel. The clear starry nights and beautiful moonrises are my favorite in October. Together with the beautiful blossoming bougainvillea and great surf this time of year, October is probably my favorite time to travel to the Algarve.
