How to rent a car with no deposit at Lisbon Airport
Renting a car without a deposit used to be almost impossible. In the past, this could be quite stressful, as deposits can range from hundreds to several thousands of euros.
But things have become much easier! Yay! I recently rented a car without a deposit for the first time, and it worked perfectly. Let me tell you how to do it (and it's soooo easy) and why I recommend:
1. €0 blocked on your card (really)
I especially love this because the amount blocked on your card can vary from €200 to €3,000. I've stood at an airport several times in my life, having to increase my card limit just to pay the deposit. And trust me, this can take hours or even longer! With no deposit, there are no worries about your card limit.
Less paperwork, quick rental
Overall, the whole process was much smoother and involved less paperwork.
With a No Deposit deal, the rental company won't block any money on your card when you pick up the car. You simply book online as usual and pay for your rental in advance. At the desk, you collect your keys without a deposit being blocked. And when you return the car, there is no deposit to wait for!
No waiting or checking if your deposit has been refunded
I've often found myself checking if the deposit had actually been refunded to my card. It can make coming home after a holiday a little less relaxing.
With no deposit, you don't have to worry about this anymore. One less thing to think about!
